Comments/Mods – Started this gorgeous knit on a weekend away with the girls from my knitting group. This has been my constant companion since I started knitting it, and it’s barely been off my back since I finished it. The pattern is free but I would have been happy to pay for it. However, the instructions for the buttonholes and buttons would have to be amended. The size of the buttons were not specified, the buttons on the original sample looked to be quite large and the recommended buttonhole was way too small (yarn over buttonhole, not big enough for my 1 inch buttons). I modified the length of the sleeves as they felt a little too short. For this cardigan, I also followed the Knitmore Girls’ couture button tutorial using some lovely, contrasting yellow grosgrain ribbon and backing buttons.

Well and truly in love :)
