Knit and Natter Aldeburgh

On Monday evening I went along to the first ever Knit and Natter meeting in Aldeburgh. We met up at 7.30pm in the Mill Inn and we will be meeting every week at the same time. Here are a couple of photos from the evening (and yes, there were only 3 of us but there should be more next week). All pics by the lovely Bec :)

I have a very busy day at work today which involves getting a coach to London with a lot of colleagues. And just to let people know – I have re-opened my etsy shop after a little break. I took a little time out as I was trying to get used to working full time but now feel able to open up again as I’m coping with everything a lot better.

How’d the new dress work out ? That pompom yarn looks a nightmare to work with; and what’s that grey thing that’s being worked on with the Symfonie needles – looks like an interesting pattern :)

Was a great evening of errr… knitting and nattering – just as the name suggests! :)

Vivianne, the Pom Pon yarn I’m using is actually really easy to knit with as it’s just two garter stitches between each Pom Pon (although a complete nightmare to cast on… I ended up using small size needles to cast on and then knitted onto the needle size I should be using for the baby blanket pattern!).

With this particular pattern, the trickiest bit is getting used to using three balls of wool and twisting them around the next colour so you have a weave affect join (if that makes sense!).

Looking forward to next week :)

  3. Ah – brilliant! Great to see another Suffolk knitting group. Good luck with it. x G
